Friendly staff at check-in and free breakfast options were a plus. The room had cleanliness issues, and the pool was closed. Too noisy, noisy HVAC made it hard to relax.

Breakfast was better than expected with hot options and good variety. The disappointing part was the lack of cleanliness in common areas like the hallways and elevators.

Parking was easy, and access to the freeway was convenient. The breakfast was surprisingly delicious—homemade touches made it feel special. Staff were generally friendly and accommodating, though one front desk issue led to complications. On the downside, the room had cleanliness concerns, like lingering odors and stains. Some amenities, like the pool, were unexpectedly unavailable. While the hot showers were a plus, the noise from the elevators was distracting. A mixed bag, really—a few shining moments amidst some disappointments.

Clean rooms and comfy beds made it easy to relax. Extra amenities like a fridge and coffee maker were a nice touch.
It was a bit pricey, but worth it for what you get.

Spacious, comfortable room with a fantastic bed. The staff were exemplary. Erica at check-in was friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth reservation process. I felt safe and at ease during my stay. management needs to address cleanliness issues. Deteriorating conditions and unpleasant odors were concerning. Attention to detail is lacking—visible stains on bedding and unclear maintenance signals a need for improvement. Breakfast was satisfactory, but the options could be more appealing. Those seeking comfort and cleanliness may have reservations. With some focused attention on maintenance and service, this place could truly shine. For now, it’s a mixed experience that needs refinement.

I loved the friendly check-in at 1am! The spacious room had a fridge and microwave - total win! Breakfast was fun with a great waffle maker and everything was just so clean.
Would recommend! 🥰✨

The room was clean with firm beds and soft pillows, making it surprisingly comfortable. The TV offered a great selection of channels, which was a nice touch. the size could be improved; it felt a bit cramped at times. Temperature control worked well, keeping the room comfortable. I appreciated the 24/7 coffee/tea availability, and the mini-fridge and microwave were handy. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the bathroom initially, but the staff responded quickly to address it. The noise level was minimal, allowing for a restful sleep overall.

The location is fantastic, with easy access to dining options and attractions. The price per night is quite reasonable, making it budget-friendly for travelers.
The overall cleanliness left much to be desired.

Connected atSleepless in Charleston. Experience walking tours, Enjoyed breakfast. Close to attractions.
I guess I missed out on the pool party with black water. Wet elevator adventures: sticky floors and mystery liquids.

The hotel is just a short walk from popular dining options like Waffle House and Rusty Bull Brewing Company, and it's only about 2 km from the Charleston Area Convention Center and the bustling Tanger Outlets, making it ideal for anyone who loves to explore on foot and indulge in local flavors;

The room was spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable, making for restful nights. Its proximity to downtown and nearby restaurants was a bonus. Though breakfast could improve, the welcoming staff truly made a positive impact.

The room was filthy—stains everywhere, the shower was gross, and the sheets didn’t even fit the bed. It felt more like a horror movie set than a hotel. Definitely not what I'd expected!

The convenient location off the interstate and close to shopping outlets made it easy for us to enjoy a lovely city break. The room was clean and spacious, with a fridge and microwave that came in handy. The friendly staff made our late-night check-in smooth and welcoming, adding to our overall positive experience.
Although the breakfast options were adequate and the room cleanliness was satisfactory, some maintenance issues were present. The noisy air conditioning disturbed our sleep, and the lack of a functioning coffee maker and cable TV was disappointing.

Great location! Plenty of nearby restaurants and retail stores within a mile, including a Tanger Outlet for shopping. The private entrance was a nice touch, and the room was clean and comfortable.
Room cleanliness was a major issue; our room wasn't cleaned once during our 5-day stay.

The room itself was pretty nice, but there were definitely some issues that stood out. The air conditioning was so loud that it kept scaring my little boy awake every time it kicked in. We tried adjusting the temperature, but then it got too warm. One thing I did like was the convenient location off the interstate and close to the tanger outlets, which made it a good stop for us on our way to Florida. the overall experience was dampened by the loud AC.The cleanliness of the room could have been better too. The carpets felt sticky, and the bathroom didn't seem to be cleaned thoroughly. The staff also didn't make things easier for us - they weren't very helpful during check-in, and it was tough to get any information out of them. Another issue we faced was with the room itself - we booked a king room with a pull-out bed, but were initially given just a king bed. We had to switch rooms, and even then, the toilet didn't flush properly. We also didn't receive any room cleaning during the day, and had to go get our own sheets for the pull-out bed and fresh towels. The Wingate had its pros and cons. It's convenient in terms of location, but there were definitely some maintenance and cleanliness issues that need to be addressed. Hope this review helps others with their decision-making.

We also had a blast outlet shopping, finding great deals on family favorites.
My wife says that the hotel could benefit from having a kids' play area.

My friends and I had a blast chillin' at the American Theater and gulping down the free brewskis at Holy City Brewing - so lit! Shopping for dope stuff was on point!
Wish they had a sick rooftop bar for all the young party animals to vibe at. That would've been off the chain!

I chose the Wingate solely for its proximity to North Charleston and American LaFrance Fire Museum and Educational Center, and I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional customer service. The 24-hour shuttle and complimentary continental breakfast made my stay even more convenient and enjoyable.

we had a comfortable room at Wingate and the bed was very nice. the housekeeping was very good and the breakfast offered a rotating variety. We found the location to be convenient and easily accessible, with restaurants and fast-food options nearby.
Nothing negative to say 😊
